Introduction:
Nestlé Waters Canada operates a factory in Hope, B.C., that accesses the Kawkawa Lake aquifer to produce bottled drinking water.
Recently, when Nestlé needed to have a new bottling line installed at this facility, they called Pro-Tech for help.
The Challenge:
As with any installation of new equipment into an active facility, there are always challenges with space—moving around heavy machinery in the tight environs of a factory—as well as challenges with time—scheduling the procedure so there is minimal disruption to production. In the case of the Nestlé factory in Hope, both of these concerns featured prominently.
The Solution:
Nestlé trusted Pro-Tech with the installation procedure. We took full responsibility to offload the components from incoming trucks, to move those components into a specified location inside the factory, to assemble the bottling line according to the instructions from the manufacturer, and finally to level the components according to requirement. After the new bottling line was inspected and tested, it was commissioned and turning over to Nestlé.
The Outcome:
The installation project at Nestlé was completed on schedule and on budget.
For Pro-Tech, it was once again very satisfying to accomplish another major project safely, efficiently, and according to the expectations of the client.
