Introduction:
When the City of Delta in Greater Vancouver recently needed precision help with a challenging project in their sewer system, they called Pacific Demolition.
The Challenge:
This was not an easy job. The project involved working within the confines of a small area and using very specialized equipment to complete the task. We needed to core drill a 28” diameter hole that would extend 14’ through an existing concrete slab to facilitate the installation of a pipe from one manhole to another.
The Solution:
The City of Delta trusted Pacific Demolition with this specialized procedure. Our crews followed an engineered plan to drill the hole that extended through the concrete slab so that a pipe could be installed between two manholes.
Our experienced crew worked within the confines of a shoring cage and used the latest in hydraulic core drilling technology to complete the precision drilling required for this project. Not only did we execute according to our plan, but we provided a safe and efficient program that prepared the way for new construction.
The Outcome:
The City of Delta got exactly what they needed, in terms of a safe and efficient solution to their problem. We were also able to deliver our services according to their prescribed guidelines and their requested timeline. All in all, we completed the job and earned another satisfied client.
